Hi! I'm back at AT+T now, as a Data Network Consultant specializing in ATM,
doing high-speed network things and internet connectivity,
as well as an occasional consultant gig. This is where I hack web pages and remailers, and post random rants, but it's mostly out of date.

Censorship - More Obsolete Rants, but they were good rants at the time...
The last few US censorship bills have come and gone, either tossed out
by the Supreme Court or fading out in Congress. But there are always
more. The Australians are up to one now.
The EFF and
ACLU are good resources.
Breaking News - Senate Bill S.486 Bans Marijuana Information!
It bans any publishing or teaching information on manufacturing
controlled substances, which includes marijuana.
The House hasn't passed it yet, but HR 2987 covers similar territory and
may be considered in January. That's blatantly unconsitutional, so I'll teach
you how to grow marijuana
here.

And by the way, you Europeans are no better off,
between censorship and abuses of data privacy laws.
In some countries, including Sweden and the US, it's safer if you're a
journalist or an Internet Service Provider.
Of course, in Cyberspace, everybody can be a journalist.
You've probably got Journalistic Works In Progress on your home
computer, haven't you? And you're providing some email forwarding service?

I'm not currently using
the wcs email address on idiom.com directly
for real mail because I'm hacking on the remailer.
My work email is billstewart at my work machine, att.com, which forwards to a broken
MS-Exchange system, but MIME attachments translate ok :-)
