Tiger Hung, Chinese Monster Hunter

Male Human, Frosh (15)

Knows Chinese, English, & Ancient Chinese

Attributes:

Perks:

Powers:

Knacks:

Spells:

Flaws:

Motivations:

Description: Tiger is a handsome Chinese boy, of the muscular, long-haired sort. When not in school uniform, he dresses in a red and gold kung fu outfit, open at the chest to show off his muscles. His Heavenly Fire style of kung fu involves lots of electrical special effects, especially around the Lightning Fist, and his "spell" Bind The Child Of Chaos follows the same theme, ending with a bolt of lightning striking the bound entity or entities.

Background: Sent by the ancient oracles to the greatest concentration of "demons" on the face of the Earth, Tiger found himself in Arkham, where there are certainly lots of demons, but they seem to be acting in accordance with proper authority (as much as humans do, anyway). Confused but determined, he arranged to enroll at HPL High as an exchange student, to be prepared for when the demons burst the bonds of righteous behavior and swarm over the face of the Earth.

As often happens to teenaged boys, Tiger has met some teenaged girls (and had many more stare at his muscles without being coherent enough to introduce themselves), of whom he has special feelings for two: Stephanie is one of the few truly good people he's ever met, and with her by his side he could found a dynasty of monster hunters that would redeem this fallen world. Masura, on the other hand, is not good at all, and the prophecies say, "Woe to him to lies with monsters", but when did a little woe ever hurt anyone?

Since his family is back in China, Tiger sleeps at a small Buddhist temple in the squiggly part of Arkham, in exchange for which he does chores and is generally abused by the ancient Buddhist monk who doesn't really approve of Taoism.

Prized Possessions:

Stephanie Smith, Nice Girl

Female Human, Sophomore (15)

Knows English, French, & Fashion

Attributes:

Perks:

Knacks:

Motivations:

Description: Stephanie is remarkably normal-looking for an HPL High student. She's a bit taller than average, with long brownish-blonde hair and big blue eyes, and dresses fashionably without being a slave to the latest trends.

Background: Despite being born and raised in a town infested with sorcerers, monsters, Great Old Ones, yuppies, and worse, Stephanie is truly a good person. Some people criticize her for her preoccupation with buying and wearing nice clothes, but shopping doesn't hurt anyone and is good for the economy.

Stephanie has a normal interest in boys, especially that cute new exchange student from China, but is a Nice Girl.

Prized Possessions:

Masura, Dark Jailbait of Shub-Niggurath

Female Monster, Frosh (97)

Knows English, Algonquin, & Aklo Glyphs

Attributes:

Perks:

Powers:

Knacks:

Spells:

Flaws:

Motivations:

Description: Masura is a temptation of voluptuous curves of charcoal-grey skin, lush kissable black lips, and shining scarlet eyes. Color aside, from brow to ankles she's almost indistinguishable from a human fantasy, and even the rump-length tentacles could pass for dreadlocks; only the dainty hooves can't be explained away as makeup.

Having ascertained the susceptibility of teenage boys, Masura dresses to maximize her assets, which usually translates to minimizing coverage. Even her school uniform manages to have a shorter skirt and lower neckline than the specification requires.

Her spells, of course, are performed sky-clad.

Background: Having not done well as the scourge of the forests of Vermont (3 demerits for playing with her food, 2 for attempting to breed out of season, and 1 for imitating a deciduous tree in a coniferous forest), Masura has been sent to Arkham to learn about humans, for reasons she won't discuss. She neither confirms nor denies the rumor that she was really sent to HPL High to collect genetic samples of a broad cross-section of humanity, but the circumstantial evidence is strong.

Prized Possessions:

Tunny Marsh, Deep One-Yuppie Hybrid

Male Hybrid (human), Senior (18)

Knows English, Shark, & Biker Slang

Attributes:

Perks:

Powers:

Knacks:

Flaws:

Motivations:

Description: James Dean with webbed fingers. Despite his parents' ability to buy him whatever clothes he wants, Tunny persists in dressing in tight, ragged jeans, white Tshirts with the sleeves ripped out, and a black leather jacket that bears the scars of learning to ride a motorbike.

Background: Tunny is not much of a Deep One, and really not much of a biker: the yuppie blood is too strong. His rebel without a movie contract act goes over swell with the girls, though, especially ones who don't know what real depravity is.

Prized Possessions:

Louis Snyderdale-Hanover, of the Sentinel Hill Snyderdale-Hanovers

Male Human, Junior (17)

Knows English & Financial

Attributes:

Perks:

Knacks:

Spells:

Flaws:

Motivations:

Description: Louis is the stereotype of a rich git, although his looks are mostly natural. His hair is wavy, his skin bronzed, his teeth white, and his sweaters decorated with small unidentifiable creatures.

The Angles of Keynes require involved and apparently spurious numerological calculations performed in Louis' own blood on even more unspeakable paper, which is written upon, scratched out, crumpled, and discarded in huge quantities.

Background: Louis is the stereotype of a rich git, although somewhat more personable than most. His passion in life is polo, which he can blather on about endlessly (and will, given the slightest opening), but he has all the normal adolescent male drives as well. He lives on a medium-sized estate in Dunwich, most of which is devoted to a polo field and stabling for a truly excessive number of ponies.
