Off on our honeymoon!

Hey! What were you expecting? Shame on you!!!

Originally, we hadn't planned to take a real honeymoon. Maybe just go to Tahoe and hang out at the beach for a few days. Unfortunately, the spring and early summer were so unseasonably cool and wet, Jan decided we should go somewhere warm.

To put this in context, you have to understand that we took our "honeymoon" trip (two weeks of diving in Micronesia!) the year before, figuring we wouldn't have time or money for a trip after the wedding. We seem to have found both, although we're still not sure how.

We decided on Fiji, partly because Jan had been there before and knew how nice it was, and partly because I was able to make arrangements through the net fairly quickly. If you're planning a trip to Fiji, particularly a dive vacation, I can highly recommend Fiji Reservations and Travel, which is located in Hawaii. Jennifer was great, worked really hard to book the trip we wanted, and got it all done right.

The honeymoon was basically in three parts:

  1. A week of diving on the Fiji Aggressor
  2. Almost a week of diving at the lovely Marlin Bay Resort
  3. A few days getting reintroduced to California life

All in all, it was a wonderful, memorable way to end the whole wedding experience. I'm ready for another!
