I live in Scotts Valley and my client is in Sunnyvale. I needed
a copy of SQL Anywhere to run one of my client's new applications.
So, a developer in the Sunnyvale offoce zipped the file, which came
in at just under 10 Mb., and shipped it to my Idiom email address
as an email attachment.
It took the Idiom mail server approximately 1.5 hours (starting at
5 PM on a Friday) to upload the attachment to my mail program.
The file unzipped without a hitch, and the install ran perfectly.
Hot damn, don't you just live for days like this!
What a difference an Idiom makes. (Let's see you do that with AOL!)

At my job we have an ongoing project to disable rsh/rshd everywhere and replace
them with ssh. One of the barriers were people who were using rlogin to log
into their personal ISP accounts from work. Flabbergasted, I explained that
even more than using it for machine-to-machine communication on our corporate
net, they should protect themselves and their ISP by using it for external
accounts. When they explained that their ISP didn't run sshd, I told them
flatly their ISP was crap. I recommended idiom.
Something you might want to pass along, in the way of a positive comment, about
security and policies, etc.

for a reply from support (even on nights and weekends), and they have
cool web stuff like MIVA (HTMLScript), KoolCat, Web based user account

forwarding through their web center. Even their monthly statements come
by either email or can be accessed over the web (even back months).
