Dancing
Give me a slow, funky grind I can really work with like Prince's Let's Work. Or even a peppy, bubbly number like Pet Shop Boys' Suburbia. I'm a huge fan of Madonna—for dance, give me Keep it Together. Janet Jackson does amazing work as well with the somewhat faster If.
Listening
I can enjoy pop albums like Madonna's Bedtime Stories or more unusual items like Brian Eno's Thursday Afternoon or Ambient Music for Airports. I enjoy the dusky sadness of Simply Red or the shinier frustration of a George Michael. For waking up on a Sunday morning I like Cowboy Junkies and for going to bed at night, I like Into the Night from Julie Cruise. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of old jazz and vocal stuff like Chet Baker, Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto.
Driving
Usually, give me old disco like the soundtrack to Priscilla Queen of the Desert or Euro-techno grooves like Erasure or Yaz. A nice beat adds a lot to a driving experience. Today I was driving to Jodi Watley.
Massage
I am currently partially to giving massages to Paradox by Davol and Into the Labyrinth by Dead Can Dance.
